Social Media Station



Theses:
“Society has too many prohibitions and too few invitations” 

Stance:
Inviting people especially strangers to share our joy and happiness is becoming less popular when social media became our main way of communication. We need to adapt with the fact that social media is becoming society’s communication method and use that to send positive messages and thoughts to the public i.e. Facebook post, twitter tweet and Snapchat selfie. The Social Media Station will create a public, interactive and friendly platform to share ideas and do it together.

Description:

The Social Media Station consist of 4 corners in a rectangle shape with a big social media platform symbol in each side i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat with a small screen in each side. In each platform will be a certain theme which participants could share their thoughts whether it was a tweet or a selfie. There is a camera installed in the site for taking photo and selfies.

The Station will evolve participates to engage with others even with strangers to enhance the concept of invitation in our society. Also, free coffee voucher will be offered to them after participating.

Target Audience:
1-    Teenagers going around the city in weekend.
2-    Families with free time while going around the city.

Scenario of Use:

Person A approaches the station and choses a platform for example Snapchat then a screen pops out and says “ take a joyful selfie with a stranger” which person A start looking to people willing to join him, and both of them get a coffee voucher after taking the photo and post it , and same with a Facebook post or twitter tweet.
